This frequency standard named GPSDXO provides a highly accurate clock/frequency source through syncronisation through GPS/GLONASS Satellite navigation system.
Initally designed to improve the frequency stability and accuracy of the Analog Devices ADALM Pluto or HackRF, it can also be used
to control any tranceiver with 10MHz reference input like the the ICOM IC9700 or Kenwood TS-890
The XO output level has been ist adjusted to fit the requirements of the frontend chip of the ADALM SDRs (~1.35Vpp). THis soruce can be used as one-to-one replacement of the Pluto internal local 40MHz crystal oscillator.
IN this offer, you buy the verison "G40H" which offers:
+ 40MHz oscillator output (1,35Vpp, 3.3nS fall/rise time)
+ 10MHz Sine output (~ +1dBm)
+ 1pps (one pulse per second 3,3V TTL)
The core of the device consists of a simple voltage controlled crystal oscillator which is disciplined through the 1pps signal from GPS/GLONASS.
During the development process we have focussed mainly on cost and power consuption. To reach these goals, there is no temperature or oven controlled oscillator. Though increased termal decoupling, a good ratio between price and performance could be achieved.
The unit's firmware can be updated over USB and thus can profit from improvements and bug fixes. Furthermore, the current deviation is sent in text for ouver the serial USB link.(virtual COM port).
There is no USB power supply included! You can use any cell phone charging adapter, power bank, computer or source that provides more than 200mA at 5V at its USB port.
